Rover 1 was founded in 2017 when an opportunity arose to be part of a small Lean Six Sigma Program Office within the Intelligence Community. After demonstrating its expertise, Rover 1 was given the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary engagements at the Enterprise level, supporting a range of senior customers, including Directors and C-Suite Executives.
Today, our team continues to effect change and lead projects across the Enterprise that impact a global, diverse set of customers.

Process Improvement Consultant
Location: Mclean, VA
Responsibilities
- Applying Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies across complex enterprise-wide projects
- Planning and executing projects to include timeline, scope, business case, and deliverables
- Developing performance metrics at all levels of organization
- Planning and Facilitating Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) for Executive Level clients
- Leading teams of analysts and process improvement consultants
- Performing analysis using qualitative and quantitative data
- Communicating effectively with teammates, clients, and customers
- Authoring comprehensive deliverables that use collected data to make sound recommendations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in Engineering, Finance, or Management; 5+ years experience in a consulting role applying decision frameworks; Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create client ready deliverables
Desired
Master’s of Science in Engineering, in Analytics, Statistics, or Data Science; Master’s in Business Administration (MBA); 10+ years experience as a Process Improvement Specialist; Experience coaching and mentoring Yellow, Green, and Black Belts; Strong statistics background; Proficient with software such as Minitab, R, or Python; Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt via American Society for Quality (ASQ)

- Manage multiple high-level projects to ensure key project metrics align with the champion’s vision
- Successfully plan and lead project kickoff meetings with full project teams and senior level customers

Graphic Designer

Responsibilities
- Create graphics, templates, logos, and imagery for a variety of products to include websites, one-off deliverables and infographics
- Lead meetings with internal team and client to draw out the underlying message of a product
- Create images with little direction and make revisions based on feedback
- Work within a team of consultants and other designers to put forth executive level products
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years experience creating content for customers; Experience using Adobe suite of products to include Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro; Experience with Data Visualization
